Brainwashed and loving it

I was reading LGF and saw this link to Frontpage's David Horowitz, where there is an excerpt of that corrupt shithead Galloway. Well what interests me is this quote from Galloway:

They have the same interest in opposing savage capitalist globalization which is intent upon homogenizing the entire world turning us basically into factory chickens which can be forced fed the American diet of everything from food to Coca-Cola to movies and TV culture. And whose only role in life is to consume the things produced endlessly by the multinational corporations. And the progressive organizations & movements agree on that with the Muslims." Otherwise we believe that we should all have to speak as Texan and eat McDonalds and be ruled by Bush and Blair. So on the very grave big issues of the day-issues of war, occupation, justice, opposition to globalization-the Muslims and the progressives are on the same side.

Ok this quote is typical of what the crazy left thinks. They think corporations are bad and we're all brainwashed in to some nationalist materialistic mindset. They think they are seeing the bigger picture, but their failure is in seeing too big of a picture. Yes corporations touch every part of our lives and so does the government(I wish it wasn't true in that case).
The fact is that these are all byproducts of a word called freedom. Yes this word is a strange and foreign concept to communists and islamic radicalists. When people are free to do what they want, they form businesses and provide services and those businesses grow. People overstep the line in business sometimes, but most of what they do is give me cheap shampoo, a means to get places in short amounts of time (Walking- 3 mph, Driving- 60 mph), entertaining television and everything. This mindset that we're not making our own conscious choices on how to live is ridiculous.
We have culture and culture gives us certain guidelines to follow (like how much clothing to wear) but that is how humanity is and has been forever. What these people really despise is the free market, the freedom to make your own choices, and most importantly the freedom to not choose their stupid ass choices. Would I prefer Big Brother over Wal-Mart? You bet your ass I wouldn't because if Wal-Mart pisses me off, there's Target and Wal-Mart knows that.
