Huffington-VDH Debate
I am wondering if anyone else cared to watch the "debate" between Ariana Huffington and Victor Davis Hanson on the question of whether America is an empire or not. Huffington looks so much like an amateur becuase her whole argument is filled with fallacies, is not even on topic, and most of all -- is completely boring. Hanson does a pretty good job. America being an empire is just absolutely ridiculous.

And yes, I realize that came from MindCrime and not Empire. It just seemed appropriate to yell at the time.
Maybe it's just me, but whenever I hear people bitching about "Empire," I think immediately of that scene in Life of Brian where the People's Front of Judea asks, rhetorically, "What have the Romans ever done for us?"
And then it has to be "Except for all the following..."
I suppose those who're fond of the Roman analogy should reconsider, huh?
