Quickies

Ok to respond to liberal guy in the comments on my 23.5 post-
- “Intelligent Design” being taught in public schools- No way.
Capitol Punishment- Yes, I'm completely for it. Why not?
Abortion- Not for it really, but I don't think it's murder. If you think it's as unemotional as removing your appendix, then you're lying or sick in the head. I definitely don't think it should be encouraged and at most, legal only in the first trimester.
Gay Marriage- Yeah, why not?
Stem cell research-Sure.
Medical Marijuana- Just medical?
Doctor assisted suicide- Well it's tricky because doctor assisted suicide being legal puts pressure on old people to agree to it. I mean study after study shows that old people who really don't want to die will live their llives in guilt because they feel they're a burden to their families who have to do this. If you want to live in a culture where we put pressure on the old and weak to kill themselves, then you're a douche bag. But people who have serious diseases should not have to live in pain. I mean, you own your own life right? It's tough, I am undecided.
The Bush administration lying about WMD’s as a pretext to a war that he intended to start no matter what- This is completely a moot point because Saddam signed a cease fire agreement and didn't live up to it. Even Hans Blix, who was against invading, said so. Legally, we were in the right, and I think morally we were in the right too. What Bush's motives were or whatever are just inconsequential. It isn't Bush's war, it is America's. They did stretch the truth at times for sure in the lead-up, but it still doesn't change the facts that the burden of proof was on Saddam and he failed repeatedly to cooperate with an agreement he signed himself.
