Entertainers think they are politicians when really they're idiots
What’s up with Conan O'Brien always giving a platform to every Air America host, and liberal book author? Whether it’s Franken, Moore, the douche bag on last night, the douche from king of queens (not the main guy), or Janeane Gardouchalo.
I hate that show because of that, I watch the late late show with the guest host. By the way last night, I thought Joe Buck did a great job. I enjoyed his strange comedic timing.
Anyways, my point is that these entertainment shows need to be fair. O’Brien shouldn’t be so one sided with having guests on. I shouldn’t have to hear things about how horrible Bush is on Law and Order.
I saw some investigation show, where a company was dumping in to the environment and covering it up by murdering the “noble environmentalists” who were investigating it.
The Daily Show with Jon Stewart is one of the most ridiculous. Do you remember when he went on crossfire and berated those guys for not advancing politics anywhere? When asked why he just let John Kerry come on his show and use it as a platform, he claimed it was because he does a show, “followed by crank calling puppets” or something like that. Well how are people supposed to get politicians on their political shows if these shitty entertainment ones will let them on and voice their unopposed opinions? Jon Stewart knows he has influence over younger generations, and there have been polls that show people get their news from that show. He makes sure to put a cynical leftist spin on everything that happens, and claim it is harmless comedy. It is essentially brainwashing.
I also saw the Hughley’s (or some show on the WB) have an episode where kids got a hold of the Dad’s gun. The guy said, “I didn’t think they could find it.” The kids had dropped it and went off and the whole scene was about how horrible guns are.
SNL is another one that bothers me. I like it but Tina Fey strays from comedy in to outright political statements sometimes (same with the skits) and it is just not funny if you are not liberal.
The issues is, the first thing these actors say when a reality show contestant gets an acting job is to talk about them not being a real actor or not putting time in. But when they use their entertainment platforms to speak about something they aren’t experts in or haven’t worked in, you don’t hear a word. They are idiots, who cares about their opinions? I tune in to SNL, or Late night, for comedy, not political spin.
