The huffington post makes me vomit
So I clicked on this link from LGF only to be disgusted by the extreme idiocy I found when I arrived. I then clicked on the main page to check out what the masses of elitist lefty morons had to say. Well here are some of my favorites.
The Return of "Fragging"?
The deaths of Captain Phillip T. Esposito and Lieutenant Louis E. Allen, on Tuesday, near Tikrit, may be the definitive argument in favor of the view that this war is another Vietnam -- or worse. A report by CNN, just out, notes "the U.S. Army disclosed that it is conducting a 'criminal investigation' into [their} deaths.....The Army is looking at a number of scenarios, including accidental death, attack by an intruder or infiltrator -- and fragging, which is the killing or wounding of a fellow soldier."
That's funny because this is the guy who authored the original post that pissed me off. It's funny also because he cites CNN but in his other column he says this,
The next stage is a lot of phony “intelligence” leaked to the always-obliging media, detailing Syrian “interference” in Iraq...
Well for the media being his lap dog, GWB has to do a better job controlling bad news because it is all there is about Iraq. This is typical from idiot liberals who want to discredit "liberal media" decries by crying out "conservative media". If the media is too conservative for you, then you should take your spaceship and drive it in to the sun. Anyways more Huffington quotes of idiocy.
Last year, a second grade teacher could spend a few hours a month learning the newest methods of teaching math to children with widely varying abilities and talents. This year, that same teacher has to spend those same hours plus many, many more making sure her students know how to take a multiple choice test on math facts she hasn’t had time to teach them yet.
Oh no, how can teachers live with accountability? I think it sucks so bad to actually have a way to measure job performance. Libs want to convince everyone that standardized tests are dependent only on factors like socioeconomic status, race, and all of that stuff. They want you to believe that we can't tell if a kid can read or not if we give him a test. And they definitely don't want teachers to have to work hard and show that they are doing their job. Their "big plan" is the "take our word for it" plan. This is where we dump millions of dollars in to education, then they say, "Yep we're doing a good job, take our word for it." Anyways, another one.
We should not only close the prison, but we should return Guantanamo in its entirety to the Cubans. It is "ours" only because we seized it by force.
Isn't that how Castro got all of the rest of Cuba? Why no cries to return Cuba to the Cubans?
There is no antiwar movement to speak of on the campuses, in the streets, or in Congress—this for a war far more misguided than Vietnam.
Yeah where is it? Especially on my campus there is not enough anti-Bush and anti-war rhetoric. I wish there was more.
Too often, the left operates in silos. There are the people who work on health care, and those who focus on economic development, and the environment, and voting rights, and too often, we operate in isolation from each other. We need to challenge those tired orthodoxies.
This is a common one. This article is titled, "Outthinking the Right". Liberals wonder why they are losing election after election and they chalk it up to being "outmanipulated". They do this a lot. Well maybe you lose because all your ideas are shitty as hell. My favorite one was economic development, ha.
Dean says that the Republicans are essentially a party that is by, for, and of the white Christians, which we all know is fundamentally true
Let's not generalize or stereotype now. The left is a party that is by, for and of communist whiny pussy hippies.
Alright I looked through a lot more but I'm done. So much of this is just the same shit over and over and over. Blah blah the president thinks he is sent from God, Iraq is Vietnam, we need control of your lives, the end of the world is coming, all jobs will now be chinese jobs.
Ok actually I would like to talk about exporting jobs for one second. This is the capitalist way of bringing about global economic equality. I read somewhere that China is now becoming too expensive to produce ticky tack things. This is the natural balance of things. The dollar will continue to drop here in the US because we just have so much economic power. It doesn't make sense to make anything here, but only to sell things here. So what happens is that money goes in to countries that have cheap labor, and they can use that to build their infrastructure. It's crazy how capitalism can solve problems naturally that socialists want to fuck up totally by force.
